Wish you all a Happy New Year 2011.
The B.A.M.S. Graduates Association (BGA) is a statutory body constituted under the Public Trust Act. The main objective of BGA is to co-ordinate all B.A.M.S. doctors in India and let them make aware about the professional conduct, etiquettes and code of ethics to be observed by Ayurvedic Graduates in India. At present there are about 10 lakh ayurvedic graduates and post graduates in India registered with State Councils / Central Council of Indian Medicine
BGA is committed for quality education of their members and concerned about with practice, upgradation of practical knowledge in Act, Art of Practice & Facts.
It is our aim to make every practitioner, effective to make Indian system of Medicine popular globally.
Keeping in mind the needs of students, practitioners and community, National, International workshops and seminars are arranged for capacity building in research and practice.
There are feelings among the students and practitioners of Ayurveda that if some clinical expertise/specialization of short course of period is made available, it will help them to practice ayurveda more confidently and to deliver specialized services to the common people which will eventually popularize ayurveda among the general public.
The knowledge of Modern Medicine is also essential for our ayurvedic graduates to handle the emergencies, to let know the prior treatments given to our patients and precautions should be taken accordingly and updating practitioner’s knowledge about the modern system of medicine.
For this purpose we are going to arrange some seminars, workshops and specially designed short term courses to our B.A.M.S. graduates, to deliver specialized services to the common people and to practice ayurveda confidently and successfully as specialists of ayurveda. This will definitely start a trend to practice certain specialties in Ayurveda.
Our all seminars, workshops and publications will be designed as per our aim to make Ayurveda with modern advances to be the National Medicine of India.
I am very much interested in student’s future and therefore it is advised to the students to see the status of college as permitted / not permitted on the official website of C.C.I.M. before taking admission to the concerned college. If any teacher is not teaching or not attending the classes of theory and practical’s, please inform us personally so that appropriate steps can be taken against these irregularities with the C.C.I.M.
As there is global resurgence of Ayurveda, BGA is trying to make good quality education to adopt successful art of practice in ayurveda at par to get recognition as global system of medicine and to cater the health services of preventive and curative nature to the mankind.
In an attempt to make Ayurveda supplemented by Modern Advances - the National Medicine of India, we earnestly look forward and deeply appreciate productive suggestions from fraternity and faculty for the all-round development. We strongly hope that this new year brings health, happiness and prosperity to you and your family.
